A pharmacist who hails from Malaysia, facing a charge of 'raping a woman with a finger' (digital rape), was arrested while trying to flee from Australia, according to the Herald Sun.

The suspect, Kuang King Tan had booked a one-way ticket after being interviewed by police but was arrested at Melbourne Airport and later pleaded guilty to the offense.

King Tan was allegedly assaulted the victim was 22 years old when a woman is taking the prescription of Union Pharmacy in downtown Melbourne.

He was later sentenced to six months in jail, 300 hours community work that has not been implemented and community rehabilitation orders for three years.

"It is clear that the woman had been depressed by a rash on the body of embarrassing himself and then suffered trauma when you 'digitally' raped her," said Judge Frances Hogan to King Tan.

Hogan said the punishment could be regarded as "one of the outstanding and lightweight by some people for a serious offense such as rape", but several factors have been taken into account.
