Members of the military and two children kept deadly bomb exploded at home

Three were killed while three others were injured in an explosion at a house in Taman Ria friendly, Desert on Wednesday, believed caused by a bomb.

Explosion at 4.30pm yesterday that claimed the life of a soldier, Job Hashim, 37, daughter Nur Shahira UR, 8, and son of the neighboring 5-year-old victim Mohd Akif Lokman Mohd Shahrizal.

It is understood that the impact of the powerful explosion that caused a Job thrown about 17 yards from the scene.

Kedah CID chief ACP Nasir Yes when confirming the incident said the soldiers were believed to keep a kind of bomb at his home.

"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code and sudden death," said Nasir.

Meanwhile, Job's wife, known as Sharifah Haslinda, 37, and another of their son, Mohd Murugan Shahmi, 5, was seriously injured.

Also seriously injured was the wife of the victim's family neighbors, the mother Akif Lokman, Amir Mat Rotbi, 30 years.

All three victims who were seriously injured were treated at the Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (the hospital), Sungai Petani.
The bodies of three victims who were killed were also taken to the hospital.

The explosion also caused 10 houses nearby were damaged and 34 others suffered minor damage due to vibration than destroying two cars.

Director of Fire and Rescue Department Kedah, Ahmad Shahabuddin had reportedly said he did not rule out the possibility of the explosion was caused by an explosive material based on observations of the impact of the explosion at the scene, especially the effects of the hole in the wall of the house involved.

Ahmad said he also asked for help from the Bomb Squad Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to check out the scene for fear that there is still a material that can explode in the home involved.

Meanwhile in social media, especially via Whatsapp messaging app is starting to spread news of the alleged explosion are several mortar bombs were brought back by the victim home from work at Camp Hobart, Desert.
