Video Trailer: Steering ask RM250 pay increase ambulance


Kuala Lumpur: Pay RM250 if you want to send the patient to the hospital. It requested an ambulance driver bribery of a government-owned hospital to a patient's family in distress.

Based on the video footage that is disseminated through Rednews, a local man claimed he was calling 999 after her mother fainted.

Upon arrival at the hospital, his alleged victim bumped into the ambulance driver before requesting clarification on payment for ambulance services in government hospitals.
Ambulance driver then said, "do you want to know what, if we did not take, we do not have income (income), govt (government) for a little one month RM800. Children want to drink milk.
"We are not doctors JE driver, I take it is not for me, I've got money in there for four nurse (nurse) again, one person only RM50 ma, four new RM200, not expensive actually," he said in the recording.

Meanwhile, when contacted, said hospital spokesman said he was aware of in relation to video recordings that have been scattered, and the ministry was gathering more information.
"We will give a formal statement tomorrow (today)," he told The Straits Times yesterday
