KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor can use their power to stop the purchase of land transactions 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) by TH (TH).
According to Rafizi Ramli PKR secretary-general, so things can be done without breaking the law considers it is in the jurisdiction of Najib and Tengku Adnan.
"Authority to approve the transfer of land after a sale and purchase transaction is authorized Land and Mines Office Federal Territory under the responsibility of the Federal Territories Minister, Tengku Adnan and Najib as Chairman of the Advisory Board 1MDB.
"All of this can be done without breaking the law and it is within the jurisdiction of Najib and Tengku Adnan," said Rafizis in a statement to the media.
Rafizis words, the purchase agreement could still be saved as 1MDB has not fulfilled all the conditions of sale.
"I am confident that the agreement for the purchase of land involving funds of RM188.5 million has not been finalized as yet dipindakmilikkan title to TH.
"Therefore, there is an opportunity to stop the sale and purchase to enable RM188.5 million fund owned by depositors TH (including my own savings) is not touched," he said.
Rafizis also informed that a meeting with all the depositors TH on May 13 at 9 pm to urge the Federal Government to use its powers to stop the use of these funds TH.
Meanwhile, PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa believes that the TH should cancel the purchase transaction of property owned by 1MDB.
Husam also said that the responsible party in this regard should resign.
"Step TH lodged a police report leaked official information regarding the purchase of property by 1MDB is embarrassing. Nobler step is to cancel the purchase.
"Even the noble step is also the responsibility to resign for reasons including an embarrassing leak itself, in addition to buying anything that is not acceptable that" Husam said in a statement to media today.
Earlier, the blog The Benchmark and several other blogs have uploaded several documents that show TH has purchased two plots of land in the TRX at RM772 million, using depositors' money is kept in the company and not the government's money.
This has triggered a controversy with some of the highlights that measures to redeem th is part 1MDB debt worth RM42 billion.
Accordingly, TH has lodged a police report yesterday regarding 'leakage' document security in a land transaction in the financial center of TRX.
