Jakarta: International Activists urged the Indonesian authorities to abolish the test dove for women to please the country's police force.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) said the prerequisite that requires the applicant is a virgin and unmarried, it should be abolished.
According to HRW, Indonesian women interviewed, admitted that they had to undergo a test to prove they are still a virgin, as a condition of becoming a policeman.
The test requires the applicant to get naked in front of an army officer who then stabbed her two fingers into their genitals.
"I do not want to look back and humiliating ordeal.
"Why do we have to get naked in front of strangers. It must be stopped, "said a 19-year-old applicants who underwent the test in Pekan Baru, Sumatra.
HRW spokesperson, said Nisha Varia, tests 'two fingers' that should be stopped immediately, because it brought shame and dishonor women.
"Police in Jakarta should repeal this test and take action to ensure that all police headquarters had also taken the same action," he said.
