KATHMANDU: The number of casualties caused by the powerful earthquake in Nepal on Saturday reported more than 1,805 people and involving at least 4,718 people were injured.
The number of casualties is expected to continue to increase due to many who feared trapped in the rubble.
A police spokesman was reported as saying rescue work during an earthquake is performed by all personnel.
"The deaths were reported from all regions of the country except in the far western region. All security personnel have been sent for rescue work and help those in need, "said national police spokesman, Kamal Singh Bam told AFP.
