Senior citizens indicted 11 alleged obscene


Noor Din carried out by police after allegedly obscene to 11 children.

KUALA LUMPUR - An elderly man charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court yesterday on 11 counts of stimulating perform obscene to 11 children, since two years ago.

The accused, Noor Din Fooi Chaw, 67, pleaded not guilty to all the charges read separately before Judge Zulqarnain Hassan.

According to the first count to eleven, Noor Din alleged to have committed acts against children, aged between eight and 14 years in a house in Setapak Indah Jaya, Wangsa Maju, near here, between 2013 and March this year.

Prosecution submitted in accordance with Section 377E of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and whipping upon conviction.

However, Noor Din pleaded guilty to possession of such goods including 32 porn VCD, album and three mobile phones, both of which contain nude photos of victims at the same address, at 11:31 pm, April 12 last.

He was charged under Section 292 (a) of the Penal Code which provides for imprisonment of three years or a fine or both.

The Court did not bail after the prosecution led by deputy public prosecutor, Siti Aishah Ahmad argued that the offense was serious and the probability of the accused interfering with the victim because they recognize.

The court set May 8 to mention the appointment of lawyers and decisions.
