Datuk Seri Shahidan Denies bother task Pandikar

KUALA LUMPUR - Minister in the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim denied he was interfering with the duties and role of the Speaker, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia especially on whenever Parliament.

He said the question of the doctrine of separation of powers arising from Pandikar never before and it really does not need to be raised.

"Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Senate is performing its function freely and independently while managing the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara.

"There was no interference from any party including myself as the minister in charge just bring the government's motion to be debated in Parliament. Things Parliament administration run by Chief Administrator of the Parliament," he said in a statement today.

He said again, as an important institution to control and determine the establishment of the Federal Government, Parliament traveling needs special attention and continued the Prime Minister.

"Therefore, the Prime Minister has decided to put a minister with special portfolio to monitor the Parliament," he said.

Shahidan also stressed that digalasnya portfolio was not affected, no interventions or interfere powers Speaker of the House of Representatives in carrying out their duties.

"In short, what needs to be discussed in this issue are matters which have been raised by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad," he said.
