Malaysia does not celebrate the New Year for the second time

KUALA LUMPUR: For the second time, Malaysians in the country not to welcome the New Year 2015, after not doing so for the first time in 2005 as a result of the devastating tsunami that struck Southeast Asia in late 2004.

Cancellation of New Year celebrations in 2015 following the numerous tragedies and disasters that hit Malaysia during 2014, including incidents of loss of aircraft Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370, tragedy MH17 flight that was shot down in eastern Ukraine and the recent floods in several states.

New year celebrations on the eve of December 31 as usual is no longer a focus of the public coloring around the capital such as the Merdeka Square, Petronas Twin Towers, Jalan Bukit Bintang in addition to other locations throughout the country.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is now in Kelantan, the state hardest hit by floods this year, for review and visited victims who were badly affected by the disaster.

He ended the year 2014 with the congregation to pray together at the National School of flood victims Base Kubor- 2.

The threshold of the new year celebrations planned previously as always, was canceled as a mark of respect for the country affected by floods in addition to some unforeseen tragedy.

The PUTRAJAYA, New Year's Eve celebration program in 2015 sponsored by the AmBank Group this evening, was canceled as a mark of sympathy for those affected by floods, according to the Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

Instead, it is celebrated with religious program called "Carnival Raudah NASIONALfm 'at Masjid Putra in conjunction with the New Year 2015.

NASIONALfm program organized in collaboration with the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia and Putrajaya Corporation begins 2 pm with various activities including the Maghrib prayer, the reading of Yasin and prayer celebrations flooding.

Raudah carnival also featured prominent speakers Ustaz Mohamad Mohamad Ustaz Kazim Elias and Elias Najm discuss the topic 'Challenges in the Context of the New Year Defending the Faith of Youth, Family and Community "and" New Year's Resolutions according to the principles of Islam'.

The event was also graced with a nasyid performance by Ustad Ahmad Nabil and Far East Group and the strains Burdah & Qasidah presentation of the Group's Love Child Heritage.

Also present Putrajaya Corporation president Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat.

In KUALA LUMPUR, cries of takbir seven times, played for the first time replaced the spark in conjunction with the New Year's Eve 2015 in Independence Square this evening in 12 seconds.

Secretary Malam Cinta Rasul 2015 program, Amir Zainal Abidin said the cries of takbir it as symbolic of the plight of various countries including flood events on the East Coast and lost MH370 aircraft.
