WASHINGTON: At least nine members of the motorcycle gang were killed in Texas on Sunday when clashes between rival groups erupted in a parking.
Police told local reporters that they are relieved that none of those who were eating at a restaurant near the scene were injured when at least five members of different gangs fight using guns.
"In 34 years of law enforcement, this is the most violent incidents have ever been involved in. Blood all over the place," said Sergeant Patrick Swanton to Waco Tribune newspaper.
"This was one of our worst fights ever seen armed in urban areas. They began to shoot our officers," he said.
The battle occurred outside a restaurant are also part of the network of sports bar known as the Twin Peaks is located in the shopping center in Waco.
It is also a place for members of the group gathered motorcycles.
Police earlier said they had been informed about the gathering of the motorcycle gang planned in advance and their personnel have acted quickly intervene, but members of the group began to fight with knives, chains and guns.
Subsequently, the authorities ordered the closure of businesses in the area and move witnesses and suspects for security purposes.
It was also reported that more members of another gang headed to the area to continue the dispute.
Stanton said police also have reported their concerns to Twin Peaks, but the parties refused to cooperate.
Local media reported that as many as 18 others were wounded.
Waco police said in a statement uploaded on Facebook to inform no police officers were injured.
