No suspension: Quite simply apologize for berselfie

SHAH ALAM - Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) will not sack students Hasrul Muhammad Haris Mohd Radzi, 21, when he made the apology in respect of actions 'berselfie' at the stage when the convocation at UiTM Lendu Melaka today.

Vice-Chancellor, Tan Sri Prof. Ir Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar said that although the action is considered a violation of the student culture still exist but the UiTM 'oneself' to resolve the issue.

"There is no suspension if the student was sorry, just enough for UiTM he apologized, and the problem is finished if he does so.

"Hanged if he does not apologize, we hang, for it UiTM give him a week to apologize, if he apologized nothing whatever, Malay happy forgive people. Our nation, the message that I do not break the tradition, "he said when contacted Ray Online today.

Therefore, he hopes that the students always comply with the regulations, if do not want any problems arise.

"Graduation is a tradition that they have to obey the order during the ceremony, if he violated any rules that we set, it is considered disrespectful culture, if we let it, everyone will make.

"We have 24,000 to graduates, and 10 hours to 14 days, if the student do that he would slow down the process and damage the culture, so that is why I strongly about this," he said.
